Hungary conquered and in chains
has done more for freedom and justice than any people for twenty years. But for this lesson to get through and convince those in the West who shut their eyes and ears, it was necessary, and it can be no comfort to us, for the people of Hungary to shed so much blood which is already dying in our memories.
– Albert Camus

SUPPORT THE LEGACY OF 1956 AND THE FIGHT AGAINST TYRANNY
HFFF welcomes your support to preserve the memory of the Hungarian Freedom Fighters and to preserve this little piece of Hungary in Berkeley Springs. All donations are tax deductible and go toward maintaining the chapel and memorial park grounds.
If you would like to visit the chapel and memorial park, please contact the Hunt-Anderson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs, WVA at (304) 258-1997. There is a $25 fee for the visit, as we must arrange for someone to come to the chapel to open the building. We thank you for your understanding and for your support.
